Wayne Quigley is the current coach of Smallville High School's varsity football team, the Smallville Crows. He replaced the long-serving Crows coach Walt Arnold, who died in 2001.
Season One[]
At the start of the game, that would have been Coach Walt Arnold's 200th win, an angry Coach Arnold handed everything over to assistant coach Wayne Quigley, and left the field. Coach Arnold died a few minutes later in a fire.[1] After Walt Arnold's death, Wayne Quigley took over as the coach of the Smallville Crows.[2]
Season Four[]
With his assistant coach Jason Teague, Quigley led the Smallville Crows during Clark Kent's senior year for their undefeated and state championship-winning 2004-2005 season.[3][4][5][6]
Notes[]
- Allan Franz's character (the assistant coach) is not named onscreen in the Season One episode Hothead. A Smallville Torch tie-in article establishes Franz's character to be Wayne Quigley, making his character the same that Rob Freeman plays in Season Four.
