Thomas "Fitz" Fitzpatrick was a student at Smallville High School, and the quarterback for the Smallville Crows around 2003/2004.
Season One[]
While under the influence of the Nicodemus flower, Lana Lang briefly flirted with Fitz while walking down a hallway.[1]
Season Two[]
Fitz witnessed a physical confrontation between Clark Kent and Eric Marsh.[2]
Season Three[]
After Chloe Sullivan discovered that she had an ability to compel anyone to tell the truth, she started asking and exposing embarrassing secrets of her fellow students. When Fitz came down a hallway, together with other Smallville Crows players and cheerleaders, Chloe asked Doug (one of the players) whom he would like to take to the prom. To Fitz's surprise, Doug revealed that he would like to take him to the prom.[3]
Season Four[]
Fitz attended attended karaoke night at the Talon, which was interrupted by Clark Kent arriving with the notorious Alicia Baker.[4]
Season Six[]
Fitz seemingly attended the wedding of Lex and Lana.[5]
Season Ten[]
In 2010, Fitz returned to Smallville High School, for a homecoming event. He was talking to some other former Crows players, when Lois Lane approached them. However, like the others, Fitz could not remember her.[6]
Appearances[]
- Season One: Nicodemus
- Season Two: Rosetta, Witness
- Season Three: Hereafter, Obsession, Truth
- Season Four: Pariah
- Season Six: Promise
- Season Ten: Homecoming
Notes[]
- Fitz was played by an uncredited background actor. The Season Three episode Truth establishes the character's name as Thomas "Fitz" Fitzpatrick. In Nicodemus, Lana refers to him as "Jimmy".[1]
- As of the spring of 2003, Fitz was in a relationship with a fellow Smallville High student: an unnamed blond girl.[7] It is possible that they were still together by 2010. In Promise, Fitz can be seen seated next to a blond woman in the church during the wedding.[5] In Homecoming, Fitz can be seen outside the doors of Smallville High, talking to a blond woman.[8]
- It is unknown if Fitz still played for the Crows during the fall of 2004, when Danny Cormay and later Clark Kent served as quarterback.
- Fitz attended Lana Lang's wedding to Lex Luthor, as a guest of the bride.[5] It is unknown if he and Lana are friends, or if he was just there as the plus-one of the blond woman seated next to him.
Trivia[]
- While just a non-speaking background character, Fitz was one of the most recurring of the students at Smallville High (outside of the main cast), appearing in (at least) nine episodes. He is tied with Jacquie Gould, another non-speaking background character, who also appeared in (at least) nine episodes. Then Alicia Baker, Mara, and Mary, who all appears in three episodes each. Evangeline Lilly was in four episodes. However, her Smallville High student character was never named. Furthermore, in Kinetic (Lilly's first out of four appearances on the show), Lilly appears as the girlfriend of Wade Mahaney. Unless Wade (an adult) was in an inappropriate relationship with a high school student, Lilly was presumably not playing the same girl, as in her other appearances.
