The Lost Boys is a film. In 2001, a local movie theater in Smallville screened the movie, as part of a "Friday Nite Monster Movie Fest".[1] Before it went out of business, the Smallville Beanery also had the poster for the film on display.
Superman/Batman Connections[]
- There are many connections between the film The Lost Boys and both the Superman franchise and the Batman franchise.
- Two characters in the film work in a comic book store, which is packed with Superman, Superboy (the Clark Kent version), Teen Titans, and Batman comic books (along with Spider-Man and X-Men). One character also mentions Lori Lemaris, one of Superman's love interests from the comics.
- The film was directed by Joel Schumacher, who later went on to direct the Batman movies Batman Forever (1995) and Batman & Robin (1997).
- One of the film's executive producers was Superman: The Movie director Richard Donner.
