Clark using Telescopic vision

Telescopic vision is the ability to see things from extremely far away. Kryptonians can develop this ability.

Batman and Green Arrow's enhanced tech can enable super vision better than best equipment in the market.

Characters who have displayed telescopic vision[]

  • Clark Kent - It's unknown when this ability first manifested, but he first used the ability in Ryan. Although, even before this episode, he would often look at the stars in space by combining his already enhanced eyesight with the aid of his telescope when he was younger. Clark can, according to himself, see at least 50 feet in all directions and angles. (Upgrade) This power is almost always used by Clark in combination with his X-Ray Vision, he uses it to zoom in on objects that he is seeing through, to see them more clearly. In Legacy while X-Raying an FBI van, Clark was able to zoom in on Lex Luthor specifically and see that he was wearing a small microphone attached to his chest.
  • John Jones - John Jones watched Clark grow up through the years from far distances.
  • Kara Kent - While searching for Kal-el and later her ship, Kara used this power as she scanned areas from above, while flying (Kara). Kara used this ability to see earthly objects from outer-space. (Veritas)
  • Isis - Isis, while occupying a host, has the ability to see objects and people from afar. (Isis)
  • Vala - Vala was able to burn the Mark of Zod onto a pyramid far away with her heat vision. (Salvation)
  • Basqat - Basqat spotted Lois from over the horizon and confronted her. (Pandora)
  • Green Arrow (with advanced tech) - Green Arrow's shades can see better than any piece of equipment in the market.
  • Batman (with advanced tech) - Batman's sensors can see better than any piece of equipment in the market.

Notes[]

  • Telescopic vision can be combined with X-ray vision. (Eternal)
  • When Clark was younger, he wasn't able to see things at the intensity that he can now, so he used a telescope to aid him combine with his already heightened vision.
  • Clark admittedly demonstrated the ability to see objects from very far away, but nowhere near 'telescopic vision' in the actual sense. The full extent of his visual powers, including the perception of the entire electromagnetic spectrum, would not be revealed before the advent of Season 11.
  • In season 1, Pete would referred to Clark's "1,000 yards stare" once when he used x-ray vision.
