Dreams are green[]
I put the dream sequences in (kryptonite) green text, but is it too much? too hard to read? I think it's cool, but I'm corny like that, so... Marikology 07:19, 6 February 2007 (UTC)
- I love that they are in color-great idea. I think that would work well for Relic, too. I'm not sure that this shade of green is the right color. Blue would be easier to read, but blue is the traditional color for links, so that is a terrible idea. Kryptonite green is a good idea. Maybe if you put a light gray highlight behind it, it will be easier to read. -Samantha's Mom 03:55, 7 February 2007 (UTC)

Precog?[]
Some of the examples given for Clark's dreams being precognitive are questionable, not to mention that it's not a power normally associated with Superman. The ones resulting from outside influence may not come from his own abilities, but from Sarah. Dreaming of flying isn't unusual even among plain old Earth humans, we just can't act on it. And all teenage boys dream of recieving a new car or truck. Dreaming of Lex and Lana together could just mean he's perceptive and noticed them getting closer (subconsciously and in denial, no doubt) or reflecting his fears of the same.
The only one that seems truly an example of foresight without knowledge is the second meteor shower. But that was caused by Brainiac, and Clark has demonstrated a mental link to Kryptonian technology, so he could have been aware of the approaching threat without knowing the specifics. Certainly his mind could associate that sense of oncoming disaster with the disaster he feels most guilty about.

- I agree. I think the only true example of precognitive dreaming is Clark's dream in the beginning of Commencement. And, it's not unusual for the main character of a show to have a dream about an upcoming disaster. The dream was probably connected to Jor-El's warning that something bad would happen if the three stones were not united. Kryptonian stuff. --Stressed dessert 03:31, 14 February 2008 (UTC)
- They could be coincidences like you said, but I still think there are too many instances. But if you don't feel like it's supported by the show, feel free to move it to the talk page as an Observation. Marikology 04:15, 14 February 2008 (UTC)
- Maybe we move this all to a page on Precognition, and include a version of this discussion there? --Kanamekun 04:24, 14 February 2008 (UTC)
Moved the text in question here for now:
- This is another display of Clark's hallucinations/dreams that appear to be precognitive. He previously dreamed about being able to fly in Rosetta and dreamed about the Second Meteor Shower twice before it actually happened in Scare and Commencement. He also hallucinated the relationship between Lex and Lana in Splinter that developed shortly after. In this episode, Clark dreams about getting a new truck; the Kents will presumably have to buy a new truck to replace the one Clark wrecked. Perhaps this ability enabled Sarah to enter and influence his dreams. --Noclevername 02:00, 1 April 2008 (UTC)
