Clark's superspeed[]

Is it just me or was Clark moving a bit slower than usual in the battle with Lex, Green Arrow and Black Canary? I was trying to determine if he purposefully chose not to protect Lex, or if he just didn't have enough time to save both Lex and the Black Canary. But as I rewatched the scene, you can see Lex's bullet moving towards Black Canary at a pretty fast clip! He hasn't been this slow since Season One or Two?! --Kanamekun 16:47, 10 February 2008 (UTC)

I agree. Clark definitely moved slower than usual. I'm guessing that it was for the dramatic effect. I also think that Clark wanted Lex to take the hit. --Stressed dessert 17:04, 10 February 2008 (UTC)
I also agree with you. Clark had a good deal of trouble to handle the situation and he was barely fast enough to save Black Canary. Clark was considerably faster when he saved Lex from Chloe's gunshot in the Season 6 episode Progeny. At that time, he was reluctant to catch the speeding bullet meant for Lex. --Dva 21:47, 10 February 2008 (UTC)
No, what I think is that he arrived at like the last second, and, seeing that the bullet would kill Canary and the dagger would only hurt Lex, he chose to save Canary.Red Dog31 20:30, July 16, 2010 (UTC)

Episode name[]

I remember from Greek mythology that Sirens were considerably dangerous, and wikipedia pretty-much confirmed it. [1] Sirens lured men to their deaths, and the song was hard to resist, but would end badly if you didn't. Black Canary was stated to be not necessarily malevolent, but misguided, and not intending to kill anyone. A siren is basically something harmful that, for whatever reason, you can't resist. On that note, it seems like the episode name more closely refers to another female character on the show. I want to add this, but honestly, I'm not 100% sure this is an objective observation on my part. Marikology 03:13, 11 February 2008 (UTC)

Ah interesting. But in this episodes, there didn't seem to be a dynamic where anyone was drawn to Lana? If anything, she seemed to repel Clark... until the end, when he kind of hints that he isn't sure they'll stay together but he wants to be friends. I dunno, I didn't see the sort of seductive appeal there that would make Lana a Siren.
I did consider that Lois might be a Siren! But that didn't really seem to fit with the story either...
Overall across all the seasons, I would say that Lana has been a Siren for Clark! But not in this particular show, as far as I can tell... --Kanamekun 04:40, 11 February 2008 (UTC)
Well, the reason why I say that is because we got yet another character (Oliver) pointing out (for at least the fourth time this year) that Clark is seriously coming up short by hanging out on the farm with Lana, and even after all that stuff with Bizarro, and all she's done in the past two years, he still, in the end of the episode, wanted to be with her. (And all her other boyfriends are either dead or crazy) Marikology 05:45, 11 February 2008 (UTC)
My sense was that Ollie was more concerned that Clark wasn't helping save the world, than his alternate choice of chillin' on the farm with Lana? Also I'm pretty sure they're about to break up. But if you feel strongly about it, feel free to add away! --Kanamekun 06:02, 11 February 2008 (UTC)

Didn't Lois already know Oliver was the Green Arrow?[]

She first found out in Crimson, but then forgot when the lipstick wore off, I think - but then she found out again at the start of Season 7, didn't she? So why is she surprised in this episode? Is she pretending not to know (seems unlikely), or is it a continuity cock-up? 90.208.215.240 18:46, 30 March 2008 (UTC)

She did forget after the lipstick, but she never found out at the beginning of Season 7. OQ wasn't really mentioned by her until he came back in this one. It's why they broke up in Justice. He left town and didn't tell her why. Marikology 00:13, 31 March 2008 (UTC)
OK, thanks! I thought there was an early S7 episode where Clark or someone told her. I must be mistaken! I'll watch them again soon... 90.208.215.240 20:29, 31 March 2008 (UTC)

Sonic Cry Deleted Scene?[]

I was told that their was a deleted scene in which during the final battle between Lex and Green Arrow, Black Canary tried to use her cry on Lex. Is that true?Red Dog31 20:28, July 16, 2010 (UTC)
