The capsule[]
The capsule that Lionel and Tess see has a LX Tag. I would bet something (such as Chloe's Contract) that it has something to do with Alexander aka Conner or with Lex' Return.
Yeah. I'm thinking that it might actually be a cure for Conner. I hope so since Alexander, even as Conner, is still aging at a deadly rate and he has to stay alive for the finale.
Tess's present[]
The summary says that Tess gives a surprising wedding present to Clark and Lois. I don't know about you, but I am really curious to what they mean by that. Is it an actual inanimate object? Is it a new home or a new plan for them? Is it Conner?
Well, I think the way it is expressed says it as "I'm turning another time evil!" I think she is alling with Lionel to defeat Conner / Alexander or something similar. But I think she turning evil.
- I...honestly see NO reason for her to turn evil again, considering every single other episode of Season Ten so far, especially Luthor and Fortune. It would be completely out of nowhere and make no sense after the character development she's gone through. I think her "present" is going to be Conner, and the promo shots we've seen with her and Lionel are them having a less-than-friendly confrontation over LX-15/Conner/Alexander rather than them conspiring together. The only reason it would make sense is if she is pretending to work with him for whatever reason... TheVessel 05:04, March 1, 2011 (UTC)
LX-15/Alexander/Conner Speculation[]
How super-strong is LX-15? In the trailer, he is able to smack Clark flying, even though he's a teenager and SHOULD only be as strong as Clark was at that age. I really hope his powers are going to match how strong/fast/etc. Clark had been at his age, because otherwise, it's just lazy. (I had a similar complaint with Kara at first.) I'm also little worried about his fate. The promo implies he's turning evil. I have a feeling that there's going to be another explanation, but there's still a chance that he might just turn out to be a villain...it's hard to tell from the trailer exactly what the writers are going to do with him. - Conner is stronger than John Jones, but definitely a flea compared to Clark. Even as a teenager, Clark was stronger than Conner is. I'd say Conner could flop the Statue of Liberty on its side, so Conner's very powerful, just not nearly as much as Clark. -- ImperiexSeed, 1:11 PM, August 28th 2015
My thoughts.[]
Yes, I think you are right in saying that the gift that Tess Mercer will present to Clark and Lois will be Connor. Connor Kent would be an opponent here in Canon if the crew are going to follow the comics. Like you, I would really hate to see Connor being capable out matching Clark Kent because he is just a boy and is half human and half Kryptonian at that. Clark should be able to hold his own against the boy. Also, they probably won't make him evil just because Darkseid is currently spreading his influence and making chaos and Lex Luthor himself will appear in the finale; I'm thinking that Connor will eventually team up will Clark and Kara to defeat Darkseid. - Yeah, I really hope he returns for Finale. And it would be interesting if the explanation for his behaviour in the promo was Darkseid taking him over... TheVessel 19:31, March 4, 2011 (UTC)
He's Not Evil! (Red kryptonite!)[]
Thank goodness--Conner isn't evil. I should have expected RedK would be responsible. And I was happy to see his powers matched teenage Clark's--he wasn't able to truly hurt Clark, and Conner was much slower (only barely fast-enough to counter when they supersped at each-other during their superfight). Conner Kent's adventures...[]
I betcha' Conner is going to meet Clayton and Zoe when he starts attending Smallville High. Spinoff? - TheVessel
The Begining Darkseid's Onslaught[]
I think Darkseid will bring Lex back to life as one of his allies
Why would Lex help destroy a world he wants to rule ?
Probably to double-cross Darkseid when the timing is right to save the world.
He might have to team up with Clark one last time or he'll die again --
Or Destroy it and make a new one from the ashes? Where he's the leader? :] -- LDrago 00:20, April 20, 2011 (UTC)
Homage[]
Did anyone else catch the reference to the episodes Exile/Phoenix? "You're coming home with me".
Parallels to Angel/Connor[]
This episode felt inspired by Angel to me - half good / half evil super powered 'son' (Conner/Connor) of the super hero (Clark/Angel) going back and forth between his good 'parent' (Clark/Angel) and bad 'parent' (Lionel/Holtz); trying to run off with the hero's girl (Lois/Cordelia); coming to understand and control his powers. Probably just a coincidence, but if it's intensional it would be worth noting. 65.60.197.66 01:48, March 6, 2011 (UTC)
- Technically, Conner (Superboy) was created before Connor. Conner being torn between Clark and Lionel is a reference to how Lex briefly brainwashed Superboy at one point in the comics (which is sort-of what Lionel did here, using RedK). The parallels ARE pretty interesting, but it's most likely just a coincidence. - TheVessel
Heat-vision destroying Kryptonite[]
Somebody "pointed out" that heat-vision reflected back on Clark when it hit Kryptonite jewellry in Whisper, turned GreenK into BlackK in Onyx, and destroyed the rock in Fierce. I think I should point out that each rock that heat-vision has been used on has been a different shape, and thus heat-vision did something different each time. In this case, it was just a rock, which heat-vision can destroy, just like the incident in Fierce. The version of heat-vision used was also different--in Whisper, it was small "bullets" of superheated air, in Onyx it was the usual rays of heat, and in Fierce (I think) Kara used large "bursts". Here, Conner used the rays of heat, but to be fair, it isn't easy to be consistent with this because it is extremly difficult to pinpoint how Kryptonite will react to anything. - TheVessel
Original Recap[]
Can anyone confirm that the current recap in-progress is originally written? Because every time a recap has been added to this episode, it always seems to extremely resemble the recap from here: TV.com recap. --SuperBlahBlah 13:38, March 23, 2011 (UTC)
Lionel scenes with Lex[]
The article currently indicates this is the third episode Lionel doesn't have scenes with Lex, after Luthor and Beacon. Even if it only refers to episode with Lionel in, the number seems incredibly low: Examples that spring to mind are Exile, where Lex is on an island for the entire episode while Lionel's back home, and Bizarro, where Lionel only appears in one brief scene. I was thinking the same thing. There've got to be a good handfull of episodes that John Glover and Michael Rosenbaum didn't have scenes together during Seasons 5-7.Aridjon (talk) 03:54, July 6, 2014 (UTC)
