Personality[]
I just rewatched Velocity, and it's really amazing how similar the episode was to Hero. Pete "The Boss" Ross was back, in more ways than one. I think Pete's Personality section could use an expansion - here are my preliminary thoughts:
- It's clear that Pete craves attention but doesn't feel like he gets enough. He struggles with feelings of inadequacy, since he's not the "best" at anything. That's why he got off so much on being the best at racing and on getting his krypto powers.
- He mentioned how hard it is to live in Clark's shadow in both episodes. I guess he means that Clark gets a lot of attention, but also Clark has captured Chloe's heart too. So there's some jealousy issues there, which Pete struggles with.
- He also doesn't seem to have the best judgment (although I could be swayed by these last two episodes I've watched with him in it). Anyone have a sense for how good/bad his judgment is in general?

- I think he loses his perspective. When Pete is good at something, like racing in Velocity or with his superpowers in Hero, he gets cocky to the point that he thinks he is untouchable. - Adam (talk) 22:18, 17 March 2008 (UTC)
- Ok, just pulled together a list of Pete Ross' near-death experiences. Clark saved his life 9 times! I think Pete does display poor judgment... although maybe that's unfair, since Chloe almost died 12 times in the first three seasons (and Lana almost died 22 times in the same time period).
- Anyway, I do think that Pete has a harder time having his life saved than either Chloe or Lana. Dunno if that's sufficiently insightful to work into the Personality section though... --Kanamekun 05:24, 18 March 2008 (UTC)
- Pete is an impulsive person that makes hot headed decisions without thinking about the consciences in order to cover up his feelings of inadequacies! ~ Awar 16:04, 18 March 2008 (UTC).
Article Length per Season[]
Entire Season 1: 11 lines of content.
Entire Season 2: 20 lines of content
Entire Season 3: 24 lines of content.
Single episode in Season 7: 19 lines of content.&&
&&Really? There's 19 lines of content for a single appearance? You could write up the whole thing in 3 lines. Watch:
- Pete Ross returned to Smallville. Equipped with kryponite-laced gum, Pete has the ability to stretch his arms. Pete saves Lara. Lex blackmails Pete with Chloe's secret and forces him to break into Lionel's safe. Pete gets taken hostage by Lex and is saved by Clark. Pete gives up his newfound powers.
Obviously this could've been written better. My point is 19 lines is too much for season 7. ~~
- Actually, Season 7 is the only well-written part of this article IMO. The earlier seasons could still use a ton of work, especially Seasons 1 and 2. If I recall correctly, this article used to be a work-in-progress. Looks like somebody removed the WIP tag way too early. Flash0816 02:23, 24 March 2008 (UTC)
