History[]

LexCorp made a brief appearance in the series when [Luthor] tried to distance himself from his father [Luthor]. Lex staged a coup with a handful of LuthorCorp managers and split off from their parent company to form Lex's own enterprise, based entirely in Smallville. Lionel retaliated by blackmailing Lex's shareholders individually, in order to financially eliminate LexCorp. Lex has since returned to his father's corporation. However, it has been shown that Lex has been planning for some time to go public with LexCorp and make it an independent franchise from LuthorCorp. Upon Lionel's indictment and later arrest, Lex became LuthorCorp;s new CEO. Under his helm, LuthorCorp has gradually morphed from a biotech/agri-business to a corporation very similar to the future LexCorp. In the eighth season, LuthorCorp is placed in the hands of [Mercer], under whose management the firm merges with [Industries].

In the Comics[]

I think this Article needs a In the Comics section. As for why, LexCorp isn't currently present in the Smallville mythology, I believe that once Lex Luthor resurfaces, he will either take LuthorCorp and rename it or find funds and start up LexCorp -- LDrago 22:04, April 19, 2011 (UTC)

I've added one to see how it looks. Feel Free to edit. Ideas? -- LDrago 22:27, April 19, 2011 (UTC)

Thanks for the addition Kal-El! -- LDrago 22:43, April 19, 2011 (UTC)

Article name[]

If you'd like to discuss the name of this article, let's talk here! --Kanamekun 17:30, May 31, 2011 (UTC)

I'd just like to point out that the company name is LEXCORP. The designed L from the LuthorCorp logo stayed on, and when the U-T-H-O-R fell of, the second L stayed on with lines moving from it making it look like an E.
