Necessary?[]

I really don't understand why this phrase needs to have it's own article. - BatteryB7 20:02, November 9, 2009 (UTC)

It's a famous phrase, and it's been used several times on the show? I've been trying to create articles for more sayings and quotes on the show, like the "No tights, no flights" quote from the producers... --Kanamekun 20:04, November 9, 2009 (UTC)
So? "No tights, no flights" is an actual rule of the series, but this is a just a phrase. Famous one, yes, but still I hardly see the point since there isn't much info about it. Again. it's just a command and has little meaning in the series. - BatteryB7 20:12, November 9, 2009 (UTC)
This isn't just any old saying... I think it's a key to understanding Zod. He demands obedience and loyalty, and refuses to let others demonstrate any initiative. When Coats got Clark's blood by releasing the zombie virus, Zod didn't thank him for showing initiative... instead he told him to kneel before him, and then beheaded him!
I think this is the key to understanding Zod's fatal flaw... his demand for complete obedience means that he will turn on any friend if the friend ever disagrees with him. This is what happened to his friendship with Jor-El... it's a sign of his narcissism and arrogance, that he sees himself as infallible and any sign of disagreement as a sign of betrayal or treason. --Kanamekun 20:21, November 9, 2009 (UTC)
Hmm good point. But it's still just a speculation. Or is it? I don't know, could we somehow add that text to the page? Some kind of "meaning" section could be useful. - BatteryB7 20:41, November 9, 2009 (UTC)
I can try and flesh out those thoughts in a Notes section! He's already killed two people for defying him, so I think I can put it in a way that relies on evidence rather than speculation. I'll do my best! --Kanamekun 20:46, November 9, 2009 (UTC)

Kryptonian Military Custom?[]

After watching season nine, I wondered if maybe the kneeling thing was to Kryptonians what the salute is to us on Earth (or at least America)? I'm not POSITIVE that's the case by any means or anything, just throwing it out there. 4.154.53.203 16:47, February 6, 2011 (UTC)
