Conceptual confusion[]
Removed "This could mean that this version of the Flash is a sort of "conceptual fusion" between all four characters." More than likely, it's just a "shout-out" to the other Flashes of the comics. Noclevername 22:26, 10 February 2008 (UTC)
Codename[]
Bart's JLA codename was changed from Impulse to the Flash in Stiletto. Why was it?--NatDuv 04:23, 26 April 2009 (UTC)
- Maybe they got the rights cleared finally? Or maybe it was just a mistake by the props team. We'll find out for sure when he appears in the Doomsday episode! --Kanamekun 07:00, 26 April 2009 (UTC)
Either they got the rights to the name or there was a mistake in the script and no one bothered to notice it? Who knows!? Has it been confirmed in season 8 that Bart is considered Flash now? I forget. I actiually never bothered to notice they called him Impulse the entire time. I don't have season 8 on DVD to have any sort of clarification whether or not we should change his name in other articles to Flash. J. A. R. Head 22:24, December 12, 2009 (UTC)
Is he refurred to as Impulse in Doomsday or not, cause if he wasn't, it's safe to say he's now The Flash. --MIK-EL
Bart or Barry?[]
Should we assume that this is the Bart Allen from the comics. Considering the fact that the name Bart is short for Bartholemew, which is also Barry Allen's name.--NatDuv 01:43, October 18, 2009 (UTC)
I agree. We should change the article name to "Bartholamule" due to that being his actiual sur name. I think we should have two separate "In the comics" articles. One for Barry and one for Bart Allen, just in case this is Barry, just with a different name. Because both names DO originate from Bartholamule, making the characrer possibly any one of the two.J. A. R. Head 22:11, December 12, 2009 (UTC)
- Feel free to expand the "In the Comics" section - we allow a lot of latitude in that section!
- As for the rest of the article, we can only go by what's actually on the show. If he's been called Bartholamule on the show, we can move the page. Until then, we have to go by what's appeared on screen... --Kanamekun 00:43, December 13, 2009 (UTC)
Bart comes from the sur name Bartholamule J. A. R. Head 12:35, December 15, 2009 (UTC)
It's gotta be Barry, Jay Garrick is still alive!-- Nat-Duv, the second to last son of krypton 05:25, February 6, 2010 (UTC)
Yea, I think it's 100% Barry because of his age compared to Clark's and also the fact that he is the second person to hold the Speed Force within him, since Jay is confirmed to be in Smallville. J. A. R. Head 05:34, February 6, 2010 (UTC)
I agree with J. A. R. Head, he is got to be Barry! He has blonde hair (RUN), got his powers in a flash of light (Bart was born with his, Barry was older when he got his), and in Stilleto he is called THE FLASH! Barry is an original JLA member (with Clark, John, A.C., Hal Jordan, Diana Prince, Bruce Wayne) and he wears the BARRY ALLEN FLASH logo! ITS BARRY ALLEN GUYS! --MIK-EL
I think he's a combination of both Barry AND Bart, think about it he has Barry's looks and costume and Bart's personality and codename, so he HAS to be a fusion of the two. RA 22:27, July 20, 2011 (UTC)
No, he has not once been called as such in canon, so because of that, this character's page should stay as Bart Allen. -- ImperiexSeed, 8:27 PM, July 20th 2011
My stand...[]
I think we should change the name to "Bartholomew Allen" because of a few things...
He never said he came from the future. He did say something about a strike of lightning or something. But never about time travel. This points to this possibly being Barry Allen, the second Flash.
Also, due to Jay Garrick appearing in a portrait of the JSA in the up-coming Absolute Justice movie (Don't beleive me? Check pics of the portrait on here and on the previews) and Bart, so far, being the only one (Besides Jay) to have the Speed Force in him, this means he's the second. And this may mean this IS Barry.
Could we change the name? J. A. R. Head 00:20, January 11, 2010 (UTC)
- We don't go by the comics... we go by what's on the show. Has he ever been called Bartholomew on the show? --Kanamekun 00:25, January 11, 2010 (UTC)
- No, never...RoR-El 10:06, January 11, 2010 (UTC)
- Yah I don't remember that either... if that's the case, then we should definitely go by what's on screen and leave the page where it is. --Kanamekun 01:06, January 11, 2010 (UTC)
Clark called him Barry Allen in Run. --MIK-EL
Not exactly. In Run, Clark found Bart's fake I.D. cards and merely stated the names written on them; Jay Garrick, Barry Allen and Wally West. In response to J. A. R. Head: When Bart met Chloe, he did actually claim to be from the future (which she then took as a joke). On the Kryptonsite forum, there are actually two speculations regarding Bart: A) He's an updated version of Barry Allen. B) When Bart told Chloe, that he was from the future, he wasn't joking (which would then explain, that Bart got Jay Garrick's name from a history book. And told Clark, the story about how his grandfather (Barry) and cousin (Wally) gained their powers). --coq87rouge March 12th, 2010.
That just doesn't make sense. If he time traveled from the 30th CENTURY how is he supposed to know that in 100 years he and Chloe are still in love? Chloe should be deceased by then. Chances are she's dying soon anyway!-- Nat-Duv, the second to last son of krypton 18:27, May 10, 2010 (UTC)
He may still have time travelled from the 30th century, and what he said to Chloe would have just been an ironic joke that only he understoodDropBearFace 08:49, November 17, 2010 (UTC)
Barry or Bart?[]
I'm not sure it matters! As we all know, the Smalville universe is so different already. If anything, I think its interesting that in his first appearance he had fake ID's that included Jay Garrick. This means that obviously he knows who Jay is or he is directly related....perhaps his son...it would make sense....--Superman Fan 14:10, February 6, 2010 (UTC)
Went over "Run"...[]
It's possible THIS IS BARRY.
First off, his discription of how he got his powers. A "flash of light" put his "body into overdrive" and then he tells Clark about what his parents thought about it. So, the statement about the "future" was merely ANYTHING more than a flirt.
The colors that he's been associated with is red and yellow. His book bag having the yellow lightning bolt symbol, his blonde hair when he first appeared on the show.
Along with the word "Flash" being thrown around and him being the only other fast hero who isn't touched by meteor rock, BESIDES Jay Garrick.
The names Bart and Barry both originate from "Bartholamew".
I see no reason why we can't assume this MAY AS WELL BE a younger Barry Allen.
Like Oliver said, he didn't get to pick his codename. J. A. R. Head 03:21, May 1, 2010 (UTC)
Salvation[]
Should we really count 'Salvation' as an appearance by Bart? He doesn't actually show up in the episode, they just used an old shot of him on one of the monitors.
--SuperBlahBlah 04:47, September 28, 2010 (UTC)
Yes, we should ; P Maybe is re-used footage, but he appears. We should count it. He talk to the others on screen just like Cyborg, Hawkman, BlackCanary, Stargirl.62.141.209.155 15:37, March 20, 2011 (UTC)Szopman
Rename section called, "EditBarry Allen, Bart Allen and Smallville's Bart Allen"?[]
Any thoughts on what we could rename it? --Kanamekun 18:43, June 28, 2011 (UTC)
- Seems like a difficult section to name "Identity Dispute" is the best I can come up with. Zodisgod 18:57, June 28, 2011 (UTC)
- How 'bout "Bart's Identity"? - [S.B.B] 20:12, June 30, 2011 (UTC)
How old is he?[]
Does any one know how old Bart is? My guess is that in his first appearance he was 14, his second: 16, his third: 18 and when he appeared at Carter's funeral: 20. Any thoughts? RA 22:33, July 20, 2011 (UTC)
- My guess is that he is a year, maybe two, younger than Clark if that helps. Zodisgod 23:41, July 20, 2011 (UTC)
His name's definitely Bart. They call him that on the show! And besides, "Barry Allen" is one of the names on his fake ID's!
