Smallville Wiki

Silas Kent was the founder of the Lawrence Ledger, a newspaper that would later become Smallville Ledger. Silas is also an ancestor of the present day Kent family.[1]

Biography[]

Silas Kent arrived in Kansas in 1854. Upon his arrival, Silas founded the Lawrence Ledger. The newspaper would eventually become the Smallville Ledger.[1] Silas also had two sons named Nathaniel and Jeb Kent.[2][3] At the turn of the 21st century, descendants of Silas Kent still resided in Smallville.[1]

Notes[]

  • Silas Kent was mentioned in a tie-in Smallville Ledger article published during Season Four. According to the article, Silas was an abolitionist.[1] Another article mentions that Silas had two sons.[2] In the comics, Silas had two sons named Nathaniel and Jeb. A third Smallville Ledger article mentions two men (notable to the town's history) named Nathaniel Kent and Jeb Kent,[3] presumably the sons of Silas (given their shared names with his sons in the comics).
