- The character wears a name tag (providing the character with a canonical name), but the camera never gets close enough for the name on it to be readable.
- A newspaper article in the Season Five Tomb establishes that the replacement of Nancy Adams is named Sheriff Carson. However, while the character only appeared in a deleted scene, Lois Lane establishes in the episode that Sheriff Carson is a young guy. This makes it more likely that Peter LaCroix's character is the replacement of Sheriff Carson.
