Save Me is a song by rock band Remy Zero from the album The Golden Hum. The theme version is used for the television show Smallville.
The song has a soaring anthemic chorus, making it a natural choice for the superhero themed show. Lyrics from the clip used as the theme: "Somebody save me/Let your warm hands break right through . . . Come on, I've been waiting for you" echo the issues presented in many Smallville episodes.
The shorter version of the song is from the Smallville compilation CD: Smallville: The Talon Mix (2003). The Season One finale, titled Tempest, features Remy Zero appearing at the Spring Formal and performing the theme version of "Save Me" and "Perfect Memory (I'll Remember You)".

- Remy Zero played the shortened version of the song in the Season 1 finale, "Tempest," when they performed for the school dance.
- Pilot was the only episode which did not feature the theme version of the song.
- In DC's New 52 in the relaunch for Action Comics #1, Superman attempts to have a man confess for a crime in front of the police and the man yells, "Somebody save me!"
