Saturday Night Fever is a 1977 film, which inspired the theme of Laura Lang's prom at Smallville High School, that same year.[1]

- The film's main character has got a poster of Wonder Woman in his bedroom. Specifically, of future Smallville guest star Lynda Carter as her TV version of Wonder Woman.
- Barry Miller, who plays Bobby C. in the film, guest starred in an episode of Lynda Carter's Wonder Woman TV series.
- Robert Costanzo, who plays a paint store customer, guest starred in several episodes of Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman. As a voice actor, Constanza also voiced Detective Harvey Bullock in Batman: The Animated Series, and other animated shows and movies set in the DCAU (including Superman: The Animated Series).
