Then Daily Planet intern Chloe Sullivan helped Ron with a story involving mob boss Harvey Stitch and Intertech CEO Edgar Huff.

- It is unknown if Ron Black still worked at the newspaper by the time that Chloe Sullivan, Lois Lane, and Clark Kent began working there in the later seasons. When Lex Luthor bought the Daily Planet in Season Seven, he fired a lot of the existing staff.[1]
- The story frames Chloe as having a crush on Ron, which ends when she learns that he has a wife.[2] However, any relationship between them would have been inappropriate, not to mention illegal. The story is set between Vortex and Heat, at which time Chloe would have been 15,[3] whereas Ron Black was an adult.
- It is unknown if Ron Black is related to Mark Black, a fellow Daily Planet reporter.
