Summary
When Clark discovers Lionel threatened to kill him unless Lana married Lex, he goes after Lionel to silence him once and for all. Lana tells Lex she is leaving him, and Martian Manhunter makes a return appearance to help Clark stop Lex, who is trying to find the last wraith from the Phantom Zone in order to use its DNA to power his army of super soldiers. Meanwhile, Lois goes to Reeves Dam in search of information about Lex's secret lab and is brutally stabbed by a security guard. Chloe's secret power is revealed. Also, one of the four major characters is killed off.
Recap
Martian Manhunter appears in a remote cabin in Baie-Saint-Paul, Quebec. He has tracked down the final phantom, Bizarro, there. When he tries to use telepathy on an old man Bizarro is inhabiting, he is severely wounded as Bizarro takes out a chunk of his intestine. Just as Bizarro trys to leave, Lex's 33.1 soldiers burst into the room from all sides. When Lex orders them to stun it, Bizarro leaves his person and vanishs through the roof.

Lex has captured the phantom, this time inhabiting the body of a 8 year old boy. As the phantom can only survive within a human for 24 hours, Lex needs to get the blood from Bizarro as fast as possible. After the blood sample is confirmed that it's Bizarro's, Bizarro breaks out of the detainment room and kills Bartlett. Lex purposely leaves his head scientist behind to be killed so he can buy more time to escape. When Lex is nearing the exit, he encounters Clark. Clark, who is fourious with the death of Lana, immediately grabs Lex and starts asking why did he do it. When Bizarro appears at the end of the hall, Lex runs away. Clark tries to use the crystal as the phantom charges at him, only to be suprised that it's useless. After the phantom hits Clark head-on, Clark is knocked unconscious. When he awakes, he finds Bizarro to be an exact replica of himself. Some of the only differences is that Bizarro is wearing a dark blue jacket over a dark red shirt, contrary to Clark's red jacket and blue shirt.

- During the fight with Clark, the Phantom Wraith takes some of Clark's DNA to become "evil Clark". This is Smallville's version of Bizarro, a result of a long ago Kryptonian experiment as explained by the Martian Manhunter. In the comics, one version Bizarro was a laboratory-created evil Superman clone where another was an alternate reality Superman from a Bizarro World.
