In 2006, Phantom Zone escapee Baern crashed in Oakland. He took over local youngster Lamar Johnson, and killed another named Yance. Baern possessed Lamar for six weeks. Presumably, Lamar returned to Oakland, after Clark Kent extracted Baern from his body.[1]
