Nate Pratt was a student at Smallville High School and the wide receiver of the Crows football team.

Season Four[]

Nate was in the boys' locker room when Clark and Lois were investigating what had caused Brett Anderson to go mad, and he instead took the opportunity to let Lois know he was more interested in getting to know her than Brett.

Nate was friends with quarterback Danny Cormay and appeared to be the boyfriend of Rhonda, one of the Cheerleaders of Devotion. He was unhappy with new starter Clark taking Danny's place on the team and appeared to be the ringleader of the plan to put Clark's football jersey in the toilet. When Jason, under the influence of the cheerleaders' kryptonite love potion, gave Nate and the boys a green light to hit Clark (who was also weakened by the potion-laced drink) as badly as they liked during practice, he more than rose to the challenge.

Nate seemed to be under the influence of the potion himself and was one of the football players called in by Mandy at the pool party to deal with Clark, Lois and Chloe after they uncovered her plan. After getting a kick from Lois for his troubles, Nate was knocked down and brought to his senses when Clark used his heat vision to overheat an overhead hot water pipe and hit him and the others with a minor steam explosion.

After the incident, Nate seemed a lot more accepting of Clark and worked with him to win the team's next game.
