Naomi was the Chief of Staff for Senator Martha Kent, and foster mother of Maddie Van Horn.
Season Five[]
Naomi was preparing dinner for her foster daughter, eleven-year-old Maddie Van Horn, one night. Maddie was drawing and did not respond when Naomi told her that it was time to eat, wanting them to eat together as a family. Naomi attempted to take the notebook from her and Maddie got upset. They struggled and a pitcher of water suddenly exploded. Naomi realized Maddie broke the pitcher with her mind and got scared of her. She said that she was calling foster care to pick her up and sent Maddie to her room. In the kitchen, everything made of glass exploded, and Naomi was killed by the shards. Maddie believed herself to have killed Naomi, but Tyler McKnight (Maddie's biological father) was later revealed to be Naomi's killer.
