Mr. Raines is the head of security for Lex Luthor.
Season One[]
At the gym in the Luthor Mansion, Mr. Raines reported to Lex Luthor that Max Kasich never made it to Metropolis after leaving Smallville, and that Jude Royce (whom Lex had tasked Mr. Raines to investigate) had no siblings, and that his parents died when he was young. Mr. Raines mentioned that he had not yet tracked down Amanda Rothman, whose safety Lex feared for. When Mr. Raines wanted to know what was going on, feeling that it would help him, Lex told him that all Mr. Raines needed to know was to find Amanda and tell her that she might be in danger.
