Michael was present at the Smallville High graduation, where he got his diploma. However, the ceremony was interupted by the announcement that a meteor shower was going to hit Smallville in three hours.

- The actor portraying Michael Hall seemingly portray Darren Cooper in the same scene.
- When Terrence Reynolds calls Michael's name, and he accept his diploma, three members of the audience stand up to applaud him (a seemingly elderly black man, and two white women). Presumably, these are his family. Though, it's unclear what specific familiar ties that the three have to Michael Hall (father? Grandfather? Mother? (Plural?) Aunt?). To make things more complicated, the same three people get up to applaud Darren Cooper.
