When a mysterious creature began attacking Bruce Wayne's property, Alfred Pennyworth suggested it could be Hagen, however, Bruce said that Clayface would know better then to tear up one of his own.

Matt Hagen first appeared in Detective Comics #298 (December, 1961) and was created by Bill Finger and Sheldon Moldoff. Hagen was immersed in a mysterious protoplasm by accident, turning him into a malleable clay-like form. Hagen became the criminal Clayface, an enemy of Batman.
