Marilyn Batson is John Jones' neighbor.
Season Eleven[]
During Psimon's attack in Metropolis, Marilyn was with her son when Psimon mentally picked up a semi tractor-trailer and attempted to drop it on the crowd. Everyone started to run but Billy, who was in shock, stayed behind and Marilyn screamed for him to move. Fortunately, Superman intervened and rescued the boy before the truck fell on him. Returning home, Billy was overthrilled by the experience, while Marilyn felt that the whole thing had been horrible.
Months later, Marilyn and Billy were out walking, when Skeets passed them. Marilyn did not notice, but Billy did and shouted out "Skeets" in excitement. However, Marilyn mistook this for a swear word and grabbed him by the end, as they continued to walk.

- The character's name is never established. In the comics, Billy Batson's mom is named "Marilyn Batson".
- In Detective, Billy sits next to a brunette girl. This girl reappears in Hollow, where her name is given as "Mary". In the comics, Billy's got a twin sister by that name. However, it is unknown if they are siblings in the universe of Smallville (which would make Mary the daughter of Marilyn). Marilyn is never indicated to have a second child. Furthermore, in the early 2010s, Billy and Mary were revamped as foster siblings, rather than biological. If a similar scenario is the case for the universe of Smallville, then Marilyn would not be the mother of Mary.
In the Comics[]
World's Finest #256 (May, 1979) established the mother of Billy and Mary Batson as being the late Jocelyn Batson. Together with her husband, Jocelyn had died in car accident while their children were babies.
The Power of Shazam! (graphic novel) (March, 1994) revamped the character. Now named Marilyn Batson, she and her husband were archeologists who were murdered by Black Adam.
The early 2010s revamped the character once more. Marilyn was now only the mother of Billy, and had given him up (rather than Marilyn and Billy's father getting killed).
