Main character and major character homicides refers to homicides committed by characters on the main cast and major characters who appeared in multiple seasons and influenced the plot.
Over the years several of the main characters committed homicides. At times, in self-defense or to protect someone else, sometimes simply as murder. The following list does not include cases, where death was only temporary (ex. Chloe killing Tess for a few minutes and then revives her in Sacrifice) or the victim was ultimately revealed to still be alive (ex. Oliver seemingly blowing up Lex, who later turned out to have survived and had his body rebuilt).
Bizarro[]
When he first came to Earth, Bizarro needed a vessel, but could only inhabit human bodies for 24 hours. After which, he was forced to leave their body, which resulted in the death of the vessel.[1] His body count for this time period is unclear, as it depends on the unknown about of time (in-universe) between the episodes Zod and Phantom.

The immidiate reactions of Clark and Lois, after MacGowen explodes, does little to signal "we just killed someone".[21]
- Unnamed Security Guard: At Reeves Dam, Lois got into a physical confrontation with an unnamed Security Guard, who stabbed Lois with a knife. Trivia[]
- Due to his status as a serial killer, Davis Bloome/Doomsday committed the most homicides. Though, if one counts the victims of the original Zod (who, as of Dominion, shares body with the clone), then Zod's body count would include the entire Kryptonian race (millions, possibly billions, of Kryptonians).[69]
- Lana Lang committed the most homicides out of the female main characters.
- Jonathan Kent, Pete Ross and Kara Kent never killed anyone.
- Jonathan used Green Kryptonite to drive Dawn Stiles' spirit out of Clark, after which Dawn's spirit dissolved. However, Dawn's physical body had already been killed by Dawn herself, hours earlier.[66]
- In the Phantom Zone, Kara was in possession of a knife, however, it's unknown if she made use of it to offensively kill or wound the wraiths.[70]
- It is unknown if Whitney Fordman killed anyone in the line of duty.
