Book of Rao creates portal to transport Major Zod
Jor-El came to Earth as a rite of passage to prove himself to his father, by likely coming through a portal. When asked by Clark how did Lionel get to the Fortress, Jor-El, who was possessing Lionel's body at the time, replied with it was the portal in the cave. Brainiac manipulated Clark in effort to release Zod through a portal, however, the tactic was thwarted. Clark transported himself and Lana to the Fortress using the portal in the cave, to reveal his secret and propose to her. Zor-El intercepted Lara and Kara's movements on Earth by using a portal to travel there. In an alternate timeline, Brainiac said he was going to have Kara collect the Stones of Power to create a Fotress to release Zod, and Clark used his timeline's Fortress to stop Brainiac from killing his baby self. During the Kryptonian Wars, the Scientists shut down all the portal terminals. The Book of Rao transported Zod and the Kandorians to New Krypton. After Lois pulls the Blue Kryptonite dagger from Clark's chest, Clark tells Chloe the Kandorians were sucked into a portal. Clark and Kara deduced that Darkseid was able to use the portal causing a tear in the fabric of space to his advantage in order to come to Earth.
