Jen Carpenter was a student at Smallville High School in 2005, and classmate to Clark Kent. Jen was the Captain for the Smallville High School Track and Field team.

When Dawn Stiles was flipping through a yearbook, looking for possible prom kings, she passed the page with Jen's picture in it.

- Jen Carpenter appears with name and picture in a Smallville High year book in the Season Four episode Spirit. It is unknown if the girl in the picture ever appeared on the show. In the case of Jacquie Gould in the Season Four episode Ageless, they used the picture of a background actress (Simone Bailly), who had been in the background of several episodes, to represent Jacquie Gould. Making it possible that the people appearing in the yearbook are past background actors/extras.
- It is unknown whether Jen Carpenter is related to classmate Clint Carpenter.
