Jan Arrah is a member of the Legion of Super-Heroes from the 31st century under the name Element Lad.

Like other members of the Legion of Super-Heroes, Element Lad responded to Brainiac 5 activating Legion Protocol Six. Together with the other Legionnaires, Element Lad helped to save Superman from getting trapped in the star that New Krypton orbits.

Jan Arrah/Element Lad as he appears in the comics
Jan Arrah/Element Lad first appeared in Adventure Comics #307 (April, 1963). He is the last survivor from a planet called Trom, after the rest of his species were wiped out by a space pirate and his crew. Jan possesses the power of element transmutation, like everyone of his species.
