Jamie Dupont was a French exhange student at Smallville High School.

Temptation[]

Jamie came to Smallville High as an exhange student. He attracted the attention of many girls at the school, including Lana Lang. However, he soon revealed himself to be able to turn his body into smoke, a state that forced him to absorb oxygen from others to survive (while killing them).

Notes[]

  • Being a Metahuman foreign exhange student at Smallville High, Jamie Dupont carries similarities to Season Four character Mikhail Mxyzptlk.
  • Jamie Dupont was never mentioned on the show. The events of Temptation is set during Season Two, but when Clark Kent meets Bart Allen in the Season Four episode Run, Clark claims to have never met anyone with powers who was not from Smallville/had not gotten their powers from exposure to Green Kryptonite.[1] Though, even limited to the TV show itself, Clark's statement ignores Chrissy Parker (who was not from Smallville, and had her powers long before the 1989 Meteor Shower) in the Season Two episode Redux,[2] and recurring character Ryan James (who got his telepathy as a side effect from a brain tumor).[3] When Clark talks to Chloe Sullivan about Arthur Curry in the Season Five episode Aqua, he references Bart (as his seemingly one encounter with someone who did not get their powers from the meteor rocks), while Chloe (despite having met Mikhail Mxyztalk (and been the one to depower him) in Season Four, and knowing about Chrissy (Chloe being the one to uncover Chrissy's secret and background) in Season Two) is shocked to learn that there are people in the world who did not get their powers from meteor rocks.[4] During the early seasons, a lot of guest characters (especially the ones with powers) tended to be forgotten about by the next episode, including fellow Metahuman foreign exhange student Mikhail Mxyzptlk.
  • Jamie Dupont served as the antagonist of Temptation, but was not depicted (despite killing people) as a villain.[5]
