Jack Ryder/The Creeper as he appears in the comics.
Jack Ryder/The Creeper first appeared in Showcase #73 (March, 1968). Jack Ryder was a TV reporter, who had been injected healing (though, unstable) nanocells, right before he was shot in the head by mobsters. However, the nanocells brought Ryder back to life as the Creeper (in later versions, the Creeper is actually a demon who is possessing Ryder), wearing a costume that he had worn at a mobster's costume party (where he had also been injected with hallucinogens and beaten up). The Creeper has been a member of the Justice League and the Outsiders.
