The Gladiator attended Metcon in Metropolis. While there, he spotted Lois Lane, dressed as an Amazon, and asked to take a photo with her. Lois was impressed with his costume, and made Clark take her and the Gladiator's picture. She told Clark would better if they split up anyway, and walked off with the Gladiator and hung out with him.
