Edgar Hoyt was a henchman of Morgan Edge and Intergang.
Season Three[]
Hoyt was involved in a bank robbery in Metropolis, which was foiled by a young man only known as "Kal", who took Edge's men out (and took the money from the heist). Morgan Edge sent Hoyt, and Ethan Carter, to kill the young man. They gunned him down, but "Kal" proved invulnerable.
Edge later identified "Kal" as Smallville local Clark Kent, and took Clark's family hostage. Hoyt was one of the men assigned to watch over the Kents, but was soon summoned back to Metropolis (in order to deliver Clark to Lionel Luthor). However, Clark (whom they had left tied up in the back of a truck) got free and made the truck explode.
Lionel concluded that there had been no one in the truck, and that Edge was trying to kill him. Hoyt was gunned down by Lionel's men.
