History[]
In the 1980's, an unnamed Atlantean woman fell in love with a lighthouse keeper named Tom Curry. Their love resulted in their son, Orin (better known as Arthur Curry). The Atlantean woman died, when Arthur was just a baby. Around 2006, Arthur became a costumed vigilante known as "Aquaman". By 2010, he had met an Atlantean woman named Mera. The two fell in love and were married.

- Action Comics #1 (June, 1938) begins with Superman saving a woman named Evelyn Curry (no known relation to Arthur Curry/Aquaman) from being wrongfully executed for murder.
In the Comics[]
Like on the show, in the Silver Age comics, Aquaman's parents were a lighthouse keeper named Tom Curry and an Atlantean woman named Atlanna. After becoming Aquaman, Arthur Curry married the Atlantean Mera. Together they had a son named Arthur Curry, Jr. Aquaman had a half-brother named Orm Marius, who became the supervillain Ocean Master. Following Crisis on Infinite Earths, the entire DC universe was rebooted. In this new continuity, Tom Curry was Aquaman's adoptive father, while his biological father was a man named Atlan.
