Smallville Wiki

Chloe 2 is an orbital satellite, owned by Queen Industries and used by the Justice League for super-hero missions.

Season Nine[]

After Tess Mercer infiltrated Watchtower in Metropolis, Oliver Queen had the Chloe 2 satellite launched into orbit. It was brought online during the invasion attempt by the Kandorian army.[1]

Season Ten[]

Tess Mercer (now a member of the Justice League) attempted to access the Chloe 2 satellite, but found that it had been shut down by Oliver. Because of this, Tess had to use the new Watchtower Orbiter space station instead.[2]

Notes[]

  • The satellite is named after Chloe Sullivan, the girlfriend (later wife) of Oliver Queen.
  • Chloe 2 is a nod to the Justice League Satellite from the comics. Like the first Justice League satellite, Chloe 2 was created following an infiltration of the Justice League's headquarters on Earth.

Appearances[]

In the Comics[]

The first Justice League Satellite was introduced in Justice League of America #78 (February, 1970). The satellite served as the home for the Justice League for a number of years. It was destroyed following Crisis on Infinite Earths, after which the Justice League went back to using bases on Earth for the better part of a decade.

The Justice League acquired a new satellite base (called the Justice League Refuge) in Justice League America #0 (October, 1994), which had originally been the escape pod of an alien spaceship. The Refuge was destroyed in JLA #1 (January, 1997), and replaced with the Watchtower base on the Earth's moon.

In Justice League of America (Volume 2) #7 (May, 2007), the Justice League acquired a new satellite headquarters (after the destruction of the Watchtower moon base).
