He was driving the bus one night. In the back, a bunch of teenagers were distracting him. This distraction kept him from reacting when Lana Lang drove out right in front of him. The bus slammed into Lana's car, killing her. This event was undone by Clark Kent (through time travel, and by Clark physically stopping the bus from hitting her).
