The Baker family is a family living in Smallville, and later Granville.

History[]
The Baker family was living in Smallville, when the 1989 Meteor Shower happened. Alicia Baker was mutated by the meteors, giving her an ability to teleport. Alicia suffered from Histrionic personality disorder, which resulted in her being committed to the Belle Reve Sanitarium in 2004, after attacking her father and Lana Lang.[1] The Bakers relocated to Granville,[2] some time before Alicia was released in early 2005.[3] She was soon after murdered by Tim Westcott.[2] It is unknown what happened to John and Mrs. Baker following the death of their daughter in the spring of 2005.

- The Baker family almost became related to the Kent family, when Alicia ran off to Las Vegas and married Clark Kent. However, the marriage was not legal.[3]

Alicia and her family are original to the continuity of Smallville. However, a Superboy story in Adventure Comics #114 (March, 1947) does features a character named John Baker.
